Electric trike

The project was to design and build an electric vehicle for Wellington central city in the year 2025. Materials used were steel for the frame, turning arms, spars, rear dropouts and front rings for wheel mounts, the body was made from 2mm aluminium sheet riveted to the frame, leather was used for the seat which we had professionally upholstered and finally stainless steel springs for centring the bike. Our source of power was a lithium nitrate 48v battery, our driving force was a 1000w internal hub motor.  The bike was tested on speed, agility and given an incline test, it proved successful in all these areas.
